The last leaf of quire 1 (f. 12) has been detached and subsequently glued to the first leaf of quire 2 (f. 13), while the stubs of the missing first two leaves of quire 2 are clearly visible. Consistently with this, there is a break in the text between f. 12v and f. 13r.
VisColl collation.
Catchwords on quires 2-10, 13-16 (14 and 15 only partially visible due to trimming), and 22.
Condition
Unit 1
Most of f. 76 and f. 94 and upper outer corner of f. 4 and f. 106 torn off. Stains from a spill of red ink on f. 179r and f. 190v (same bifolium). ff. 195v–196r: stains from something having been crushed between the pages.
Although not consistent with the extent of the quires, the guidelines change to dry point on f. 248r. From this point on, the ruling is inconsistent - sometimes in dry point (e.g. f. 248r), sometimes in lead (e.g. f. 255r), and sometimes in ink (e.g. f. 269r). On some folios, the last three lines have also been ruled in dry point (e.g. f. 256). In some places, no guidelines are visible (e.g. f. 252v). Additionally, the layout of ff. 254v–255r differs from the other folios in that the print is significantly smaller, so that f. 255r has 53 lines of text.
(ff. 263r–277v)Gothic cursive. (Possibly two different hands; note the shape of capital D.)
