The original covers are lost. On Spine: a blue 19th century paper strip. The volume is kept in a paper envelope, placed in a modern cardboard box with marbled paper covers.
Provenance
According to Callmer (1977), p. 121, the manuscript belonged to the library of Rudolf II at Prague castle, but this cannot be proved with certainty.
The manuscript is listed in Vossius' catalogue from 1751 (National Library of Sweden MS U 202:1, p. 173) as ‘Iglaviensium Compactatorum Expositio’, which strongly suggests that it was brought to Sweden as spoils of war.
It was misplaced in the early 20th century, but found among catalogue fragments in Strängnäs Cathedral Library by Mats Åmark in 1930, see Veselá (2025), pp. 186–187 and literature quoted there.
