Parchment worn and damaged throughout. Holes from bookworms at the beginning and end. ff. 1–4: hole through the leaves, perhaps caused by fire. Signs of contemporary repairs in places, e.g. f. 89. Text damaged by damp in several places, e.g ff. 23v–24r. f. 137: upper inner corner missing with loss of 2-3 words of text.

(ff. 7v–9v) Margins filled with additions by the scribe or a contemporary hand.

(ff. 4v–132v) Additions in the margins throughout by several different hands. The main layer consists of short one or two letter markings of theological authorities, made by the scribe or a contemporary hand. In several places text is written in a small script perpendicularly in the outer margin, e.g. (f. 46r): a chapter heading. Many of these additions have been partially lost due to trimming. There are also several other examples of different glosses or additions by other medieval hands, e.g. (f. 57v), (f. 85r), (f. 91r), (f. 92v); and on (f. 22r) in the bottom margin, a gloss in German: ‘er nimpt ein sel di er gelt vnd wider geb Gvet vnd er daz er rechte nu\e/tze vnder zer Gotes gnad uon der er rechte leb Sorig vnd geshephte des er getrivucher pleg di himelishen chrone die imer ob im sveb’.
