Both covers are decorated with geometrical patterns that seem to have been made in ink.
Leather worn and heavily damaged by bookworms. Buckles, clasps, and catch plates missing. Board attachments visible on LCI and RCI.
Germany, 15th century. The last two text mention the date 1450 and 1451 (f. 271vb, f. 275ra), the latter also concerns Salzburg, which may point to an Austrian origin for the entire or part of the manuscripts.
Provenance
Early provenance unknown. The signum ‘B 16’ on the Spine has not been identified.
