Main text in brown ink, capitals touched in red, rubrics in red. The extenders and descenders of the letters on the top and bottom line are often extended into the margin and flourished.
(f. 22r): opening foliate initial S over 6 lines (+ extending below the line). Letter painted in shades of blue with white highlights, placed in a frame outlined in black, yellow border and filled with crown-like shapes in bronze. The background appears to be bronze or silver foliation that has darkened. Part of the S extends down the inner margin and ends in a vegetative ornament. This part is blue like the body of the S but also coloured yellow, red and bronze. In addition to the initial there are several circle shaped ornaments in the inner, upper, and lower margins. These circles are outlined in brown ink and flourished in brown and green. The circles are filled in with what looks like silver that has darkened. (f. 26r): chapter foliate initial E over 6 lines. Letter painted in shades of blue with white highlights, placed in a frame outlined in black, Both the inital S and E partially covers the main text on the lines directly above or below the initial. (f. 93r): chapter foliate initial F over 8 lines. Letter painted in shades of blue with white highlights, placed in a frame painted pink and brown. The inside of the frame is coloured yellow and red, the counter space of the letter is filled with darkened or painted-over metal. (ff. 1r–315v): plain initials with flourishing in red over 3-6 lines (+ extending above and below the line). (f. 135v): plain initial in red with flourishing in brown over 3 lines (+ extending above the line).
