Early provenance unknown. A note in Swedish on shows that the fragment was used as a cover for accounts or other documents in . This means that the fragment or the manuscript it belonged to may have been in Sweden since the Middle Ages.

The fragment was taken from a collection of uncatalogued parchment leaves at the National Library in December 31, and bound in the current binding (see ).
