over 18 lines in gold, outlined in red and black ink with flourishing in red. The enclosed space contains an image of Thomas Aquinas seated at a lectern, which has an open book on it. At the master's feet are five seated monks, three of which have covered heads and are holding open books. On the master's shoulder sits a white dove and on his head a hat. The image is painted in thick opaque colours. The main colours are: yellow for the lectern, white and black for the clothes and a blue background. The initial extends into a 3/4 border of green acanthus leaves and with red and blue flowers.
