Germany , 15th century. The origin and dating is tentatively based on the watermarks. An addition in German on (lach lieb lach) also indicates Germany.

Early provenance unknown. On there is an addition dated to . Later the manuscript was acquired by Paul Petau, whose son Alexandre Petau 's signature is found on (dated to ). The manuscript was acquired from Petau by Queen Christina and brought to Sweden. Of the labels on the , 49 refers to the catalogue of 1734 (U 125e) where it is listed as Theol. in fol. no 49; e. 30. 5. 8. refers to Hammarsköld's catalogue from the 19th century (U 133). The signum 156 has not been identified.

It was printed in Paris 1503. Sermon on the Trinity Sermo de trinitate bonus Amen amen dico tibi quia quod scimus loquimur (John 3:11) Nos igitur alta sapientibus relinquentes humilia et plana dicamus Synodus nycena edidit et sanctus Ieronymus ipsum in fine psalmorum decantandum instituit Rogemus et cetera Laus deo : guidelines, but not text; : blank.

Western paper Unidentified motif. Mountain with three coupaux, on top double line rod with cross. Similar to Piccard XVI:2, VII, 2415.

Chapter numbers in red ink in the upper margin, only in some sections of the manuscript. Minor staining throughout. has a contemporary repair in the inner margin. Guidelines in lead. Gothic hybrida.

Bottom of page, in brown ink by an early modern hand: Alexander Pauli filius Petauius senator Parisiensis 1649.

Copious marginal additions by several hands. Examples: On there are Bible references in the same ink as the main text and corrections in a darker ink, both appear to be by the scribe or a contemporary hand. This type of additions appear throughout the entire manuscript. From on additions by an early modern hand start to appear. From on chapter references by a modern hand in pencil.

An note attached by the scribe or a contemporary hand. It contains 8 lines from Jerome's Commentary on Osee ( PL ).

The entire leaf is covered by two layers of additions. Layer 1: an older medieval hand has written scattered phrases which can be read from two directions, e.g. the phrase lach lieb lach. Layer 2: a later medieval hand has covered most of the page with references to and excerpts from different books of the Bible and the Church Fathers. The first line of these additions read: Sermo feria 3a penthecostes Anno domini 1513.

Main text in black ink, rubrics in red, capitals touched in red, pilcrows in red, green, and blue.

: The majority of the sermons are opened by plain initials over 2-3 lines alternating in red and green with flourishing in contrasting colour. Some of the initials feature more complex flourishing, e.g. where a face has been drawn in the counterspace (similarily on ). Around ten sermons feature larger plain initials over 5-7 lines, some of these have reserved interior space or complex flourishing, e.g. on . , : two puzzle intitials over 3-5 lines in blue and green with red flourishing. : space reserved for intial. The space reserved extends over 8 lines, but above more than half the leaf is left blank, which may indicate further decoration was intended.
