The paper covering the boards is worn at corners and edges.

Sweden Vadstena monastery , on account of the author attribution made by Johannes Vastovius , 15th century, second half.

The earlier provenance is uncertain but it is likely that the manuscript remained at Vadstena until the dissolution of the monasteries, after which it was transferred to the Antiquities Archive.

The first leaf (leaves?) are missing. The outer edges are missing on account of water damage resulting in some text-loss, especially on . The remaining text on is almost obliterated, only a few words or phrases can be deciphered with certainty. It seems that more text could be discerned in the 1880s when a transcription of the text was made by K.G. Grandinson.

According to Johannes Vastovius , the author is Mathias Laurentii, brother of Vadstena monastery 1453–1486.
