A blank space was left at the top of f. 36v, as if for a headpiece and new title.

TextblockI 8-4 (ff. 1–4 are the second half of the quaternion; 4 stubs visible before f. 1); II 8, ff. 5–12; III 8, ff. 13–20; IV 8, ff. 21–28; V 8, ff. 29–36; VI 8, ff. 37–44; VII 8, ff. 45–52; VIII 8, ff. 53–61; IX 8, ff. 62–69; X 8, ff. 70–77; XI 8, ff. 78–85; XII 8, ff. 86–93 signature missing; XIII 8, ff. 94–101; XIV 8, ff. 102–109; XV 8-2, ff. 111–116 (f. 110 and f. 117 are a modern replacement, blank; the original outer bifolium is missing) no signatures; XVI 8, ff. 118–125; XVII 8, ff. 126–133 front signature almost entirely erased together with a text written in the lower margin; XVIII 8, ff. 134–141 front sign. only; ιη´; the letters are surmounted by an undulating line as well as two smaller arches; back sign. missing; XIX 8, ff. 142–149 the front sign. has been partly cut off due to trimming; the back sign. ιθ´ is also surmounted by an undulating line as well as two smaller arches; XX 8, ff. 150–157 front sign. κ´ partly cut off due to trimming; XXI 8-3, ff. 158–162 sign. κα´ is surmounted by an undulating line as well as two smaller arches; it also ends in an upper dot; back sign. missing; there is a lacuna in the text after f. 159v and a small stub of parchment is visible between f. 160 and f. 161, where the gutter margins appear glued tightly; however it is possible that the three last sheets after f. 162 are the ones missing, as a sewing station is visible before f. 162. <163> is conjoined to paste-down.
Hand 1(f. 20v)Upright fluid minuscule of regular module, with occasional use of ‘boules’ or hooks at apices such as lambdas, taus or iotas, and a mannered curved hook in the ‘nose’ of zetas (written as enlarged 3). Torallas Tovar compared the hand to the Reggio style of Nikolaos (RGK I, no. 524: sample from Vat. gr. 1646), but the ms lacks the pointed quality of this scribe; rather, the general features (upright deltas, general neatness) fit better the example of Reggio script by Georgios (RGK I, no. 129: Vat. gr. 974), though again not exactly in the details, and again is being overall rounder in appearance. Nevertheless, these similarities confirm a dating to the first quarter of the twelfth century and suggest a Southern Italian provenance for this ms. Cf. also Loukas (RGK II, no. 334: Paris. gr. 790). A few lines are written in a more cursive style (scholarly hand?) at (f. 20v), ll. 6-17, with increased abbreviation and a majuscule form of beta as well as open omegas: these lines could still be by the same hand, though. Occasionally the lower stroke of phi is prolonged through several lines into the lower margin, e.g. (f. 19v), (f. 77v), (f. 79r), (f. 125v). Rubrication in carmine; simple enlarged initials throughout; the beta at (f. 55r) is unusually enlarged and embellished with dots and crosses.
